My son has 1995 ranger 2.3(first truck) 4r44e has no forward gears after servo replacements. Recently after battling 2-3 fare and delay engagements I had replaced the valve body with a new one including all solenoids after that not working I decided to go a step further and replace o/d and im servo replaced the reverse servo orings with the viton d-rings and new gasket and did filter change.after all completed I added 4 quarts of MercV fluid ran for 5 minutes cycling thru gears and added 2 more to fill marks . Got truck up to temp put in reverse no problem shifted into gear right away and then into drive nothing- seems to rev -2nd and 1st same thing. What could be happening? Also did a bands adjustment and reset pcm(disconnect battery). Still nothing? Anybody have any ideas what could be going on? My sons truck is driving me crazy! He had forward gears (before the servo replacements) it was just the delay engagments it was happening sometimes like 30-45 seconds. Now nothing.
I also did a line pressure test and what i got was
park 82psi
reverse 130
drive 74
2nd 74
1st 73 seems all are according to atsg manual

By the way there seems to be no codes either -no flashing overdrive- no engine lights

Is there anything I could of done wrong with the servos or could it be the mercV instead of mercon. truck only has 45,000 miles on it. I just hate to pull the tranny out for rebuild when it could be something else less work. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated so I can get my truck back as well as my garage.

There are different sizes of servo pistons. Is it possible that you installed a too small piston it fit the servo cover ?

cover was bb and db seem to fit fine and I made sure that i pushed in enoought to get snap ring on. There was alot of crud in the back of intermediate servo and cleaned it out .Is there anything that might be plugged in there ? These are the servo that I replaced:
