My work truck is a colorado( new s-10). If the wind blows right it'll dent the fenders and it's already a low rider. It's like gettin in and out of a car. Its got the I-5, 18 mpg. But I don't make the payments on it. If I had my way, it would be a Ranger.

While I don't really care for it's looks, it does have a few things going for it.

5 speed manual transmission
Diesel engine options 235 lb/tf (1800-2400) and 138 HP
4x4 options only for the diesels though.. but really?

That hood scoop has to go and the larger cabs look especially ridiculous.

IMHO, late '70's fullsize Ford trucks had class. They were boxy and tough but had nice lines.

I don't think the early '80's were all that bad either. I have little love for the late '80's through '04 though.

Now all these auto makers want to bring back old names, but the stuff they're slapping an old name on often has no resemblance to what they're trying to promote.
