I have a 1996 ranger 2wd 2.3l 5 speed. I bought the truck with 225/70/14s on it. Truck is gutless as sh*t and will do 90 in 4th gear down the highway lmao. I want to go a tad shorter than stock, which I think is a 195/70/14. Whats a good, cheap tire thats a 1/2" to 3/4" shorter than that?

I'd upgrade to at least a 15" wheel. The speed ratings on 14" wheels are prolly low. AS far as sizes go just go to a tire store and ask

Why not just turbo it and have all the power you need??

You would get more of a difference if you regear it
