That's not a glass pack, it looks like steel wool. A turbo muffler is just a better flowing stock (reversible flow) muffler. I've never seen a flapper inside one before, must be to make it breathe better at WOT. Turbo mufflers originated on turbo Corvairs, they didn't need as restrictive baffling to quiet them down because the turbo did some of the muffling.
That’s part of the “fuel preheater” system.Did they use leftover fuel line for the muffler hanger?![]()

The new 2019+ Rangers have a turbo...
I hope that tube thing in the middle spins.
I'm still waiting for someone to explain why the exhaust hanger is made of hollow tube with a quick connect flare on it...
Seriously, That's old leftover high pressure fuel line right? I mean ford is cheap but come on...
They are hollow tubes that don't connect to anything. So, you got me. Maybe the one end keeps the rubber hangar from falling off?
EDIT: I went out and looked at my 2019. The back hangars are hollow and the flanged end is in the rubber hangar. So, it keeps the rubber from popping off. The front hangar seems to be solid bar.
