Thailand Ranger concept

Ok. Reality check time. How many "Concepts" make it to production as they are presented? It's an Asian model. It may or may not meet North American safety specs. Did they make the truck to be right & left hand drive? Is it a unibody or full frame? The truck has promise but does need a lot of work to make it appealing to the masses. But we need an all new model. I love my 94 and will NEVER get rid of it. The new Ranger should have more models and options than ever before. How about that truck minus the bling and crap with the new Raptor nose? Offer one with long travel suspension and a base model with a plain jane body? The current Ranger is going on 16 years. Count ourselves lucky that the model has survived in it's current state for this long. The best selling vehicle in North America has been the F150 for years and how many changes has it had?

Concept

and that's all.

Personally, I think the Sport Trac is a better sales possibility. However, a jazzed up FX-4 might have a niche market, probably more on the West Coast than in the mud and snow back east.

Sporttrac with some plastic on the bed, and a Fusion front end...... no thanks, I'll pass.

Will Ford ever get it right again.....Looks too much like a Toyota...Blah!

i say quad cab with a full lenght box is well overdue
FORD u LISTENING???

stop tryying to pass this plastic crap on us in the hopes it will "grow on us"

it is growing on us like mold

Why dont trucks look like trucks anymore?

The problem with Ford, GM and Chrysler is that they take perfectly good vehicles like the early Dakota's, Explorer's, the Taurus, Saturn's and they let them evolve into vehicles nobody wants. Its like they forget what made the vehicles a success in the first place.

Came across this on http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2009/01/fords-updated-o.html which led to:

dunno...

I think it looks too much like a replica of the Chevy Colorado

You know every other company has already given their small pickups a facelift so its about time ford does it too. I love my rangers but it seems they've been left behind in the styling department. I think this one's a little extreme but something needs done. 4 Full-Size doors maybe? Some room for real people in the back?
