We should just make a poll. Which Ranger do you like best?
The US/Canada model

Specs:
--2.3L DOHC I4 (143hp/107kw--154 lb.-ft./209 nM torque) or
--4.0L SOHC V6 (207 hp/154 kw--238 lb.-ft./322 nM torque)
The Mexico model
http://www.ford.com.mx/vehicles/gallery/gallery.asp?idModel=RAN§ion=EXT
Specs:
--2.3L DOHC I4 (same ratings as US/Canada model)--only engine available
The Englad/Great Britiain/United Kingdom model (Australian & Thailand models similar)

http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServer?cid=1163397392649&pagename=Page&site=FOA&c=DFYPage
Specs:
--2.5L I4 Diesel (105kW/145 PS/141hp--330 nM/243 lb.-ft. torque)
--3.0L I4 Diesel (115kW/156 PS/154hp--380 nM/280 lb.-ft. torque)
I think that it's a crazy idea to build 3 different body styles for all of the different areas of the world. Not to mention the 2 different powertrain lines. If the diesel is the preferred mode overseas, they could at least offer it to the US. I don't know how popular a diesel Ranger would be here today, but it might hold appeal for those that want something different.
