Test Pipe

Does anyone have a source for a test pipe for a 2.9 86 ranger? I am not going to remove the cat for good.

What did you search for? Having a hard time finding one. Think I might like to put this on my truck too.

That was directed toward z3chyd. The cheapest test pipe I see on ebay right now is $90. Less expensive than new cats, but lots more expensive than just hollowing out the old ones.

Well for my ford probe a test pipe was 20 bucks lol. Well here's another idea, you can take in the old cat to an exhaust shop, tell them they can have the innards if they make you a test pipe. They measure the length of your cat, and can either make a straight-pipe test pipe, or use a short resonator to take away some rasp. If they don't have flanges there, they can just hack the flanges off the old cat and weld them to the test pipe. I've had quite a few friends have this done. cheap an easy! just make sure you get a cat before inspection time.
