I wanted to drive a Shelby, but if I show up in my Ranger they would laugh at me and tell me to leave. Soooo I told my Dad to come with me to the GM dealer to test drive a Challenger. While on the test drive with that, we went to Ford and said "We just got this Dodge, but we dont like it much. We want to test drive a Shelby." . . .They were more than happy to let us test it out. I was disappointed with the interior, but thats not why you get a Shelby anyway. The engine in its incredible. If they could just get the rear end to hook it would really be something. But I'm ok with laying down rubber in 1-2-and squeaking them in 3 too.

That was my complaint with it too. I drove a friends at BeaveRun for a few laps and it never felt like it could controllable in the turns when you were trying to power out. My grandfathers Vette was better and it's an older Z-06. Even the guy in the BMW Z4 was smoking it in the turns. However, once you get up over 55 or so it runs awesome for a car in it's price group. They just need to figure out how to suspend a car properly so the lap times come down.

Which Shelby? You mean the GT-500 or the GT-350? The GT-500 is really hampered in the stock tires that comes on them and the extra weight in the front. Think they both are running just the FRPP suspension, better stuff out there if you are going to go road racing. The new 2011 GT Mustang is the one I want to test, they've dyno'd out at 385-395 rwhp, got to be real close to what the other two do stock. I think you'll see a lot more of the Roush versions doing road racing, Jack's son does it rather well in the Grand-Am series, winning a couple so far.

My bro has an 2011 GT on order, they still haven't set the production date yet. I can hardly wait to get a ride... and maybe if I am nice drive it too. :yahoo:

He got the Brembo brake package and the fancier suspension too.

Them brakes and suspension are going to make a big difference! Roush's daughter is also in the racing family, here's her car. Bad news is that she is married! Look at them rear tires.

GT500. And you're right, the stock tires are crap

Funny...here in Florida you can only drive one with a salesman in the car. Where are the photos??

Hard to take pictures with a hand on the shifter and the other on the wheel. And you can find pictures of cars outside the dealership anywhere
