My credo
Never say anyting behind a man's back that you would not say to his face.
1994 Mazda B3000. 3.0L v6 Temp gauge not working. Tried to ground test the ECT, (thinking this was sender). No movement . only movement seen is when key turns on accessories it will be on cold line and then drop when powered. have only replaced sensor(ECT),still nothing on dash. Where please is the sender located on engine. found one back pass. side top, but test ground shows oil press.

Can't find a picture. It will have a single wire connector on it, not a two wire connector. They are usually up around the top front of most engines but I do not know about a 3.0.

It’s on the front, nearly center, right next to the hose going to the heater core. I just posted a picture of the heater hose elbow a couple days ago that showed the sender. Let me find it.

previously posted info was incorrect and has been deleted.

For his '94, the sender for the gauge is a 1-wire device. The sensor for the ECU is a 2-wire device. Can't find the picture I took a few days ago. I'll try to remember to get another tomorrow.

1993, 3.0l. 94 should be the same.
