My temp gauge isn't reading accurate. It's an 87 Bronco ll with a 94 Explorer 4.0 I've replaced the single wire sender with a new 87 sender and it reads at the top part of gauge at "N" but with a infrared meter it's at 195 at the thermo housing. With that known I'm not to worried but would like the gauge to read where it should in the middle. I know there are different OHM's readings for the gauges and know the sender and gauge must match so what do I need to do?

so what do I need to do?

Ignore the stock gauge, go buy an aftermarket mechanical one, plumb it into the intake and route it into the cab then install it where you can see it while driving the truck. This will give you 100% assurance of the temp of your motor. I do this with all my older trucks, added security.

cheers
