Tech video, How to make a Euro Style Grille

Nice clean job! Where are you from? You have a cool accent! :icon_thumby:

Thanks man, I'm from Yorkshire, England originally but I now live in Louisville, KY:icon_thumby:

Cool! LOL, i looked at your screenname and i was like, wow, that was a silly question! Yesterday i just looked at your location, didn't even notice your name, haha.

To each their own, I think its ugly, but hey that is just my opinion. I do like the color matching though.

Looks good! just not sure how well our backing material will hold up over time. Great mod though

I did some research on the backing - I found people have had the drain guard on a grille for over 4 years without any rust (and they said they lived on 'the rust belt')

The color matching was actually really easy - I went to Sherwin Williams and the guy got the color code of the door 'KE' and I bought a Prevel spray gun - it is a jar with an aerosol on for $5. You pour whatever paint in the jar and just use it like an aerosol. I was really impressed - it's not a Ferrari finish but then the truck is not a Ferrari! Home Depot also sells the Prevel spray guns as well. And, now I also have some touch up paint!!

I meant the panel adhesive, it dries hard and is not flexible the wire Im not worried about.

How would you work that? You may be putting 90mph on that bondo. Will it really hold up?

Very impressive. I was thinking about taking my dash out, cleaning it real good, and painting it. Is that Prevel spray a good idea on this? And what kind of paint should I use?

There are dedicated vinyl sprays out there that will last for years. I painted a blue dash black and it looks good still after many years

Some bondo's are fibered and have great strength.
