Tears in my Eyes

in most states you can get the salvage part removed from the title if you prove it's been restored to factory specs

not NY , in NY once a salvage always a salvage

and looking at the esyimate , the adjuster screwed up big time , put the wong tax on the parts (88% instead of 8%) , so it may be cheaper than i thought , but the insurance is still willing to pay up to $7800 for repairs , it went to the body shop today , the adjuster the shop uses is going to look at it monday after they get it into the shop and on a hoist , so monday or tuesday i should know the final verdict , though i already emailed about a set of 4 matching Alcoas for $450 , which will give me 3 spare Alcoas

and it is now official , she is totalled , gonna buy it back just to save some parts off of it for my other trucks

What changed?

they put it on a hoist , got a real good look at everything , measured everything , and found that the frame is so far out of whack that there is no way to straighten it

So by "Save some parts for your other trucks" What you meant was you were going to sell me your rear axle, right? :yahoo:

That really sucks, mate. I know I'd be broken hearted as hell if I had lost a truck like that.

i mean i am saving the rear axle for one of my trucks :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: (when the Level II was driveable i had 3 rangers) plus a slew of other parts for said trucks

and i feel just like i did when my dog died , if not worse , like there is a part of me missing now , i would give anything to go back and change what happened that night

Have a  on me, bud.

That is too bad.

At least both of you are able to live on in other trucks though. :icon_thumby:

yea , but i am thinking of consolidating my stuff , i think i am gonna sell my powerstroke and my 2000 minus the engine , rebuild my 97 , keep the explorer for winter , and i am looking at a 94 F-250 7.3IDI for a spring-fall truck

glad your alright... i know the feeling that your going through. i dont have any pics of my truck right now but i gotta take some and get it up for sale for parts.

i fubar'd my 93' on the 17th of december and looks worse than yours does, unfortunately ICBC wont give me nothing for mine b/c i got charged with D and D. clipped a car hit the ditch then snapped a power pole, front of hood is bent, pushed front bumper in so far that where is wraps around the side of the truck is pushed in to where the shocks are, busted grille, headlights, 1 corner light, started bending the edge of the doors back where the fenders meet the doors, peeled driver's front fender right off, bent frame, bent rear steel bumper and some more little things, my truck is getting sold for parts.

It is Mine Again , We got it Back !!!!!!!!!! Happy as can be right now !!!!!!!!!!
