Taurus Fan

OK, so i have an 85 B2 with the 2.8. Seems like the engine was not taken care of very well before i got. I replaced the t-stat, radiator and water pump and fan clutch. I installed an aftermarket temp gauge. It never goes above 195*F even on a 85*F day.

So my question is, will the Taurus fan cool better than my stock fan?

Either there's a typo or something missing here... Why do you need a better fan?

I'm sure the fan is fine. What may hurt you is the stock thermostat location on the 2.8. You don't need a better fan if you simply relocate the thermostat to the upper water outlet on the intake manifold.

It makes cautious people feel better. Having a temperature of 195* is a good thing. Don't give it another thought. It is running as designed..

OK, thanks Big Jim. These little engines seem to run hot lol. My dads 350 in his 1500 does not even hit 210*F

Mine runs better when hot, Im not touching a thing.

same with my 2.9, on long trips, it always responded better right as i was getting home
