tapered shifter bolt for a 94 5 speed ranger

Hey guys, new to the forum and i need some help. While putting in a rebuilt 5speed and clutch in my 94 4cylinder, i lost the tapered bolt that that holds the shift lever to the to the trans. I have looked everywhere to find one of these, but no luck. No bone yards in my area have one, and Ford says they were only available with the shifter, and that has been discontinued. i have a 7/16ths bolt in it for now, but the shifts are sloppy because the shifter is able to twist. If anyone can point me to where I can find one, it would be great. I'm about ready to fire up the lathe and make one!
