I am in need of a new transmission in my 86 ranger. Should I keep the stock tranny or is there a better one out there? My current trans. is an automatic. I want to keep it an automatic. I have a 2.9 engine in it. Thanks

c5 auto out of an 84, take the flexplate, trans, shifter(or megashifter or equiv., and linkages(kickdown incl.)
