I got a 85 2.8 2wd the other day. and when the headlights are on nothing in the tailights work (reverse,brake so on) I cant figure it out.

ya everythings fine when there off. 6 first gen rangers and iv never had this problem !

Does it have a plug for trailer lights? If so remove it see if that changes anything.
