I have a 91 styleside, which years will fit my truck? It seems like every single ranger tailgate around here is either expensive or broken.

Use the search fuction. We just had several post on this topic. Scrapyard, Ebay, Craigslist.

Good luck finding an OEM gate that isn't beat to hell or rusted half to death. I looked for months and gave up. I bought a new one from LMC. It's not as heavy as original though so if you use your truck for hauling you may not want to go that route. It looks purdy though.

You should be good fitwise with anything 92 and before (although bedsides were modified between the 89-92 years and earlier, bed style and gate were changed substantially in 93)

Keeep looking. Although its hard to find a straight, rustfree gate, there are lots of rangers out there, and accidents, etc send some to the wreckers every day.

While styles have changed, the bed dimensions have not. My 88 style side is the same with and length as a 98 style side. If it sits in the same as mine, it would fit. Look funny, but fit.

Yeah this is my work truck, the previous owner bent it and it has to be opened with a bar.

How much lighter are we talking?

this is getting old people...

all beds (except for super rare ones) are the same tailgate wise from '83-92 and like said, any of them will probably fit just fine up until they stopped making the Ranger... the inner bed has been the same forever...

Lots. I would say about 30-40% lighter. Where are you located?
