i have a 99 ranger and i whated 2000 and newer tail lights the 99 has 3 bulbs and the 00 has 2 so i switched the harns thats under the bed and after no lights no breaks hazard or turn. help please

The three bulb lights have separate directional/hazards, brakes/running and backup.
Somehow you will need to combine the brake/running with the directional/hazards.

There is a how-to about adding a hole for the two bulbs in one.

Or...

Add after market backup lights and use the backup location on the two bulb setup for the directionals.

Just thinking out loud.

Basically you have to combine the wires so the multiple signals reach the bulb. Pain in the butt.

My tail light harness (94, 07 lights) is wired in to a 4way trailer-side plug. All plug-n-play now. Just have to switch my trailer wiring back and forth from the 98 to the 94. If I wasn't so cheap, is buy another one...
I do love the look of the new lights on older trucks... Sorry for the dirty picture.
