kk, first cable bought for 93 and up doesnt fit on a 90, there difference between one and the other side, dont they dont mix up like the 93 and above, etc there the same lenght but but they dont block in the same direction... lol

I tried to remove the other good one because i had only one missing and iwanted to see how it was working, but i ****ed it up, THe nut that was holding the bolt that hold the wire and locking mecanism, disapered in the tailgate,

i removed the rear plate but no access to the inside of the tailgate
tried to remove the bed liner no acces the inside of the tail gate
tried to remove all the screw that hold the locking mecanism, the screw unscrewed all the way but i still couldnt remove the locking mecanism from the side of the tail gate,

so now that i dont have any wire left on the tail gate :bawling: how do i get evrything back in place so i can put my new wire ?

Unbolt the latches and the handle, there are rods that unhook from the handle, with them unhooked the two latches and handle seperate from the tailgate.

kk, i would take some picture but we are at night and i still have my sled in my trunk.

i think a would just need a shop manual, or repair manual like a chilton's one.

Forget what I just said if you read it...the diagram above shows it better...lol

do you have page 27 please, and in what manual did you took that picture off ? :headbang:

k but how do you have acces inside the tailgate ?

There is no way to, it is largely one piece of steel folded in on itself. Once the parts are loose you can get to the insides well enough to take them out, then you have some rather large holes to hope to bounce your nut out of.
