Tachometer/Speedometer Needle

My tach needle broke in my 1986 and have struck out trying to find any in junkyards. Anybody have spare needles from either their tach or speedo?

The closest I’ve come to finding a dupe is a reproduction of the needle from the 78-82 Corvette. Would rather avoid putting a part meant for a Chevy in a Ford if I can help it.

When I got my truck the tach didn't work. Or so I thought. That is when I noticed my tach was working, just the needle had broken off also, must be a common thing to happen.

I took a wire tie, cut it so some of it hung out the back, and the pointed end pointed to the numbers on the face. I then super glued it to the original tach center needle hub(never took that part off). Has been working for years like that and never fell off. You can get some fluorescent orange paint I believe, if you wanted to paint it. I just left mine the white wire tie color.

Sometimes you can find a tach cluster on ebay for a decent price. Or you can try car-part.com
