tach installation

It took me a couple days to find the wire, but I eventually did. Right next to your intake there should be your DIS moduel. It will have a plug on the top and a plug on the bottom. Take the bottom plug off and tap into the black wire with yellow/light green (im half color blind sorry) stripe on it and she should work. I will try to go out and snap a quick picture of it and so you have some sort of visual aid.

Ok, I just took a couple pics to show you what I was talking about. I also included a pic of where I mounted my tach. I dont know what kind you have or if you have already mounted it but thats the best place I found for mine. Hope it helps.

wouldnt it be easier to swap a instrumnet cluster that has a tach in it that way the wiring is already there?

thanks for the pics and help. and as far as getting whole new dash i didn't want to buy one considering i already had the tach laying around

I was going to just put my tach in my jeep and get a new cluster panel. However i could not get mine out. The speedo cable wont come out far enough for me to get to it to take it off and I didn't want to go through the trouble of unhooking it to get me slack and then hooking it back up after the new cluster.
