Tabor winch?

Ok so i was at working looking through our catalog and was going through warn winch stuff and saw some Tabor(I think that is what they were) winches. They seemed to be in with the warn winches, like a sister brand or something? Anybody have any info on them? Are they a branch off of warn or just there own company or something?

I've never used em, but usually anything that Warn makes is top notch.

I have not used them either, but because it says that they are great for entry level users, they might be WARN's cheaper stuff.

u wont need a beast of a winch to pull out a ranger so a entry level winch i imagine would work fine....

Yep thats them^. They werent a whole lot cheaper. Maybe 670 I think. Not as cheap as a Mile Marker, but for the price and I would assume the quality, it seems fair.

i have a 9K Tabor winch for my project truck, bought it for 500$ with everything and it hasnt been used

Or you could by a summit racing winch for cheaper which is a de-stickered Tabor...

Really, huh? I might have to check out those summit winches.

If it were between the 9K tabor, or the M8000 warn, they are just about the same price. I'd just go with the warn. They both have a series wound motor, and planatery gears. I'd just go with the actual warn name to ensure you get quality, like spyderman said, tabor might be warns cheaper version. Now the summits are $100 less. They also look better made, and also have the series wound motor, and planatery gears. Just wonder how fast they pull the line in?
