ive got a t56 6 speed that i bought for a firebird project i had but got rid of. the guy didnt know what he was talking about and it was a ford one not a gm. is there anyone who makes an adapter to put a 6 speed on a 3.0l ranger? id like to have that extra little bit of gear to drop the rpms down on the interstate. i drove all the way through mass the other day at 3100 rpms. thank god for mobile 1

I dont believe anyone does but if you wanna sell it let me know im looking to convert my 5.0 stang

well i plan on getting a stang or doing a 5.0 ranger in the spring when this trucks finished getting paid off. i found a near mint 95 ranger in a coworkers garage that had motor and tranny issues. 2wd 5 speed 3.0l stepside. its purple but a really nice truck.

RPMs will not hurt a 3.0. Sounds like a perfectly good waste of a T56 to me...

well i would really like to drop in a set of 4.10's and keep a relatively low highway rpm. which is what a 6 speed would do for me.
