Lifting Clearance

I was planning on a 2'' lift and was just wondering about the clearance of my driveshaft. I have converted to a one piece aluminum. and I had to do more clearancing than the tech library said. just want to know if anyone has had any problems with a lift

Take the carrier bearing cross member out completely. It isn't a structural part. I took mine out of my '97 and had NO problems.

I think the article in the Tech Library caters towards truck with 4-6" or more of lift, so since you have less, the drive shaft likely has more that it would come in contact with.

+1 on what mjones said, just pull the cross member.
