The guy i work with has a 05/06 ranger 4x4. A few times last year he would use 4x4 in the snow and when he got home parked the truck. He would go out in the morning to go to work and the front end was locked up. He would take it in and out of 4x4 and drive and reverse. The back tires would spin but the truck would not move! Its like the front end was locked.

He had it towed to ford three seperate times and they cant find anything wrong.

Now this year after a snow covered road ride home, the same thing happened!

anyone have any ideas?

Only happens when blasting through snow ?? Front brakes freezing up due to snow melt ??

Yeah, sounds like water on the brakes froze overnight. Tell him ride on the brakes for a bit to warm them dry before he parks it.
