T-case experts? help please!

I've tried to get answers by posting in the right forums but nada.

Anyway. I've a 93 4X4 with the 93 electric BW1354 and I have a 98 BW1354.

I'm trying to find out if the rear case half of the older will go onto the newer. since the newer does not have a speedometer connection and the drive nylon drive gear)

I'm getting a thumping noise and I'm worried the Tcase will fail even though we are changing over to the M5OD in the spring.

Well I really hate to even say this... You mentioned getting a thumbing feeling...?

By chance do u feel the thumping in the floor boards right under the front floorboards??? When does it do it??? Always? Or only under load?

The reason I'm asking is cause I am getting a thumping feeling in my floor boards, and I'm 99.999% sure it's my trasmission or the mount itself.... Because I have only a 2wd model Mountaineer, I'm starting the SAS in bout 10days.... But now with this thumping feeling I'm now deciding if I'm gonna replace the trans completely or just swap the tail shaft housing and shaft itself for a 4wd unit....

Kinda hoping if your in the same boat that together we could diagnose the problem without either of us having to cough up $800+... :/

See if you can locate a parts diagram for both yrs and compare?
