I'm Converting my GT to 5.0 5speed and I heard that the Supercoupe trans wil bolt up and uses a hydralic clutch.My other option is a 88 mustang T-5 but I'd have to convert it.Has any one tried the t-bird trans?

It does have the correct bellhouseing bolt pattern and hydralic clutch. I thought ford used the supercoupe tranny in the F-150s too.
