Ok after searching this web site I cannot find anything specific to my truck. It's a 2005 FX4 Off Road 4.0L and I am looking for T Bar crank information. I have read that on 98+ Rangers you do not have to get an alignment after cranking the bars. I am looking to level out the front to the rearend, so I don't have a odd looking 4x4. Please if I have missed the thread for this, let me know where it is so I may go there for the correct info. I am new here and not sure where to get the exact info I need. I was chastized by one member because I posted in the wrong forum, (sorry my bad)! Again please bear with me as I am a newbie and am just looking for info for my truck.

So what exactly is it that you are asking? If you need an alignment after the crank?

When cranking T-bars you are changing camber/caster angles as a side affect. How much the camber changes will depend on how much you have to crank to level the truck. I had a worn out front end on my 99 (that already needed an alignment bad), I did a Tbar crank to bring it back up to level plus enough to fit 32s nicely. In all it was probably 3-4 inches of lift from being sagged something fierce. I could visibly see the change in camber before and after. That said the truck still drove down the road fine (but better ride from the new suspension) after the work.

While not necessarily needed I would suggest getting an alignment for max tire life.

The tech library has a ton of information.

Thanks guys I will look into it. Anyone I would like to see pictures of your Tbar cranks just to see how much lift I can expect to get from mine. I will then also get some rear shackle hangers to even out the front lift.
