I've been reading about this swap and heard that Advance Adapters used to make the kit but apparently not anymore.
Is this even possible anymore?
Or am I going to need to do a ton of custom fab thus not worth time or money?

I can't find an M50D so I've pretty much given up on that option.

Thanks.

If you can't find a Mazda for a 2.9 or a 4.0 you aren't trying very hard...

We do have a WTB forum you know...

i found a mazda one for my 89 ranger out of a 1991 exploder from the junkyard and just took mine out and swapped them had to put new starter clutch and flywheel. the only problem is on the inside where the shifter boot is, the new tranny is placed more at the front than the other one. so i think i may have to remove some carpet and do some other small work. not too hard. any other suggestions?

I've yet to make one here, but RPS and B2.org have been no help.

My local Junkyard has yet to get any 4WD M5's.
Hell, hard pressed to find a 2WD M5...

I'll make me a thread here since it seems there is more traffic.
