Hey everyone, I need some major help. I'm lifting my truck on friday night but I have run into a problem. My ranger has a sway bar that connects to the inside of each radius arm. The radius arms are connected to a single bracket that works as a crossmember for my frame, and my sway bar connects to that as well...

I am told that the sway bar HAS to be connected to the arms AND the frame.

My Problem: My lift has longer arms and new brackets to hold those arms.
The arms have a place for the sway bar to bolt it but the brackets for the arms are two separate brackets with no crossmember. Meaning if I lift it, my sway bar will NOT be connected to my frame at all..

HELP: Do I need that crossmember? I have no idea how I can make it work unless I make a crossmember for the new brackets....if anyone has lifted a ranger like this before please help me out cause I'm freaking out right now trying to figure this out...

Just toss the sway bar period. That's what most do (myself included).

just remember that you will have more body roll. be safe

Toss it and let the good times roll. lol. I tossed mine also. Just don't hang corners at 50mph.

You could build a bracekt that goes from the frame to the radius arms so that it will allow you to use the factory ones.

Retrofit to a "Front mount" swaybar like ALL '89-97 Rangers, '91-94 Explorers
and '89-90 Bronco2s used.

ok guys thanks...I think I'm going to try to rig up a crossmember. My truck leans alot as it is...I can get it on three tires if Hang a hard turn in first...but that's if I really try. I don't know...I guess I can always put it on if I don't like how it handles with it off...

Also..does anyone know the bolt sizes I will need for my lift? I need the sizes for the axle brackets and the radius arm brackets... thanks
