Hey guys I am part way done my swap I am putting in a 8.8 with a 3.73 and a L/S.

I don't really see an easy way to disconnect the break lines or how the E break comes off. Any tips?
Also I am having a hell of a time undoing the bolts for the shocks. What do you recommend?

First, I'll start with the shocks, as they're easiest. What I would do is get some Freeze-Loc (~$10/can) and spray the nut/bolt down on each side for 30 seconds. Also, you're going to need a wrench or socket/ratchet combo to hold the nut and bolt while you turn it to break it loose. After spraying the two down, wait 30 seconds, then try it to take off the nut. It should come off with minimal problems.

Next, what kind of brakes are on the axle you're putting in? Disc or drum? If it's disc, ten to one the e-brake connects to the caliper. What kind of brakes do you have on the axle you're discarding? Drum or disc? If you have drum brakes on both the outgoing and incoming axles, it should hook back up the same way (you're only changing the internals of the axle itself--L/S and gear ratio). However, if you are going to an Explorer axle (31-spline with disc brakes), you'll probably need the e-brake cables from an Explorer to hook up your e-brakes again.

The parking brake wont hook up to a caliper unless the axle is from a mustang. The trucks had drum stule parking brakes inside the rotor. If you have a 93 and up the cables should just hook right up at the equalizer. Earlier than that and it getz complicated.
