ok, ive got a 94 4 liter ranger, and im wondering if i wpould be able to swap a 4.0 I6 from a jeep into my truck, and if so, how much trouble would it be
thanks

or if it would be altogether worth it, im thinking on doing an engine swap as a project mostly and if anyone has any ideas im open to suggestions.

Doubt it would fit. It's an inline 6. Probably would have to mount the radiator in the bed.

Anything can be made to fit! It's just not practical. a 5.0 would be easier

It would be trouble. You'd need to take the tranny and transfer case from the Jeep, too, or run adapters. The I6 came with the AX15 manual transmission and NP231 transfer case. You'd need new driveshafts, the Jeep computer, etc. It'd be a real pain.

yeah ive decided against it. will probably just end up chipping it

know of any budget friendly superchargers? XD

You could probably turbo it cheaper than supercharging it.

As for a swap, the V8 5.0 would be the simplier route. But anything is possible with an angle grinder and a welder. :icon_welder:
