Hey all,

I recently bought a 2010 Ranger (2 wd, 4.0L, Sport) that was previously lifted. I bought it from a dealer and it was shipped to me, with no details on the lift.

When it arrived, I noticed it had a coil over system with a FOX reservoir on the driver side, but no reservoir on the passenger side. The problem is the truck needs new lower and upper control arms on both sides, but I don't think I can use factory parts due to the coil over setup.

1. How can I tell how much of a lift is on the truck?
2. I was thinking it was maybe a Dixon Bros Racing kit, but can't be sure.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks! 🍻

Are the current control arms factory? Why are they needing replacement?

As far as the lift, you could measure the bumper or frame height currently, then minus the difference between the tires on it now and stock tire size. That should give you your lift size.

Better pictures would certainly help. That top control arm looks stock though.

Thanks, guys. I will try to get some better pictures tonight. My go-to mechanic that was doing my brakes this weekend showed me the bushings are shot on the uppers, and the ball joints are bad. He said the lower control arm has some sort of bracket added to it that the coil over is attached to.

Whatever lift you have is probably (obviously) from the coilovers. Considering the control arms are stock, the amount of lift is likely under 2". Much more than 2" and the top arm would bottom out on the frame with the truck in the air, and the top ball joint would be at an awful angle.

can you pull the plastic back and get some pics of the top shock mounting area?

Thanks, @Blmpkn . Here's a side shot to show the lift. If it matters, those are 285/75/16 tires on the Ranger.

Jeeze yeah that looks to be a sizeable lift for a 2wd..

A picture from in front of the truck looking back at the front suspension so we can see the angle of the arms with the truck on the ground AND in the air would be good if you can.

It might have different spindles to give some of the lift.

I didn't think there was spindles available for that truck that work with the stability control. I remember looking for some when I had my '10 and came up dry. Mabey I just suck at Google lol.

That might be. I was just trying to offer possibilities.

UCA has the BL54 3084 and T208B stamped on it. Rear FOX shocks, the housing/body measures around 16.5 inches long, fully extended shock is around 26 inches long.

I can't fully read the springs, but one has 245567 on it
