since this kit for the 2001-08 rangers 4x4 dosnt actually lift the frame any, it would leave the same gap between the bumper and hitch that a 3" body lift would correct?

If its a suspension lift there should be no gap.

its a torsion bar set up with blocks in the back, so if the frame isnt being raised, the hitch wouldnt move....overall i guess that answers the question i would think, just kind of a bummer

Yeah if the body isnt lifted it will stay the same.

all suspension lifts move the frame higher. Is'nt that the point of a suspension lift to get more clearance between the frame and the ground.?

the 4 inch superlift is a SUSPENSION lift meaning it DOES move the frame....
so the hitch will be exactly the same as it is now.

yeah the hitch will move with the frame when installing a suspension lift.

Yea but the distance between the bumper and the hitch will be the same.
But yes the hitch will be 4 more inches from the ground

but the kit says if you have front tow hooks, you will not be able to use them unless you remove your bumper valence, so this would mean the frame is remaining in place, correct?

a suspension lift raises everything except the axles. Your whole truck will be raised together. You are talking body lift stuff with gaps and not being able to use your tow hooks without modifications

It sounds to me like you are looking at a body lift? the susension lift should have nothing to do with your tow hooks.
