I have a ford 3.8l I was thinking about supercharging using parts from a wrecked supercoupe (bottom end, maybe intake manifold idk. But to do carbs i think i need source a supercharger from a different source), the problem is the way I am thinking of going with the project would make EFI an odd fit (on top of being a pain).

Has anybody heard/seen of someone supercharging a 3.8l and carbing it, i was thinking i might be able to get one of the carb manifolds off of 3.8l foxbody or f100. velocity stacks and a hole in the hood are also on the list if things work out.

What you need is a weiand style blower, where the carb bolts on top of the blower, and the blower to the motor. Finding a v6 manifold to fit a blower will be the hard part, most likely will have to be fabricated...

yeah i know, that is where i am getting concerned trying to find one for a decent shape. if i used the one off of the supercoupe i can pick them up for a decent deal but i really don't want to go through all the wiring (If i do that i have an engine swap in mind instead) But if i could get a carb manifold off of an early 3.8l i should be able to use it as a starting point and modify it to work with a supercharger (I think, it has been a LONG time since i saw a 3.8l carb manifold.)

You would best to use a 4 barrel 3.8 manifold, if you could find one...would be cheaper and easier to do an engine swap/do the efi swap...
