Supercharged 2.9???`

It ran mid 14's on skinny street tires (2.3 sec 60' times). If I could have built boost on the line, 13's would have been cake. It was waaaay fun to drive and really surprised guys at the track. It was a 86 reg cab longbed 2wd dual tanks, A4LD, 7.5" L/S 3.73 gears.

89RedRanger-

I took the pics last night, but didn't get them all cropped and resized. I ended up going out for a couple beers instead, and was too tired to get them posted by the time I got home. :)

Here's just a pic of the super charger that he sent to me originally, but the quality is not that great:

Looking back, I had forgotten that you will need to relocate the alternator. The S/C sets on top of a "funnel" that directs the air from the bottom of the blower into the upper intake via intake tube. The actual S/C unit actually bolts to the side of the motor. Like a centrifugal blower, but not.

I am not certain what he ran. You would probably want 19lbs, if you lean at WOT, go higher, but I don't see the engine exceeding their flow rate.

I paid 350 for the setup, but make me an offer. Will have more pics soon.

Here's my 2.9L during rebuild 3-4 years ago, soon to be parted and sold:

The only thing I am keeping to remember it is the original Ford Motorsport Chrome Valve covers.

I have to talk to the GF first and see what kind of bills I have (she's my accountant). After that I will definately hit you up. Do you have any of the brackets and stuff for it? Or, is it just the supercharger? I'm not interested if I can't get the brackets and all for it. I don't have a shop, so I try to keep things as bolt on as they can get. If I had a shop it would be a different story.

interested

If 89redranger decides not to pick up your parts, I would like to be next in line to buy them.

The parts are all yours. Right now I have to concentrate on saving money to move. I am getting ready to move back to my home town of Coos Bay, Oregon. After that I will be looking for parts.

Thanks redranger - good luck with the move!
