As some of you know from my recent post I am having trouble with my steering on my 93 Ranger 4x4 with TTS.
I have ordered the extreme drop pitman and am having thoughts about this Super Runner steering kit that Super Lift makes.
Anyone have any imput on it?
Good? BAD? If so any other options, kits, or ideas to improve my steering?
I was thinking about duall stabilizers? anyone had luck with them?
Thanks..
Matt.

first off what have you done to the truck so far,i.e. lift, tires, etc and what kind of steering issues are you having let me know and i will do my best to help

ps i own a 94 excab w/ 6" lift 31"tires,for now, and have probably similar issues that you are having now be careful with the extreme drop pitman arm as it will make your steering a lot quicker

Its a 93 with 6in sup and 3 in body sitting on 35x12.50x15s.
All new ti rods, ball joints, wheel bearings, hubs, pitman arm, and a good used steering box.

The Superrunner kit would be the better way to go in the end vs. the longer drop arm because it doesn't put so much leverage onto your steering box's sector shaft. However the caveat with the Super runner kit is you must modify it's centerlink (lower it down some, requires welding) to get any decent performance from it (straight out of the box it's maybe only slightly better than what you have now, and Superlift has been slower than molasses in the antarctic at fixing this flaw :annoyed: ).

The other option is Stonecrusher's linkage, though at 6" lift you will likely also still need to pair it up with the Skyjacker FA600 (extreme) drop arm to get the angle within acceptable limits (which might require you to put a very slight bend in it's driverside tierod too, not real sure).
Last, you could go with a "swingset" type steering setup, though these (popular with the desert crowd) can run some $$$.

Tall lifts on TTB suspensions can be difficult to deal with for this reason. At 4" lift, it's a little more manageable, though still won't eliminate having to mod the Superlift kit, you just won't need to drop it down so much (Superlift, for reasons I don't know, positioned the centerlink on their kit for a 2" lift, which at that height it's unlikely the kit would ever be needed, yet they incorrectly advertise it as suitable for 4-6" lifts :icon_confused: ).

Ok, well tell me how you think this will work out, I just bought skyjackers duall steering stabilizers and all new shocks (shocks obviously not gonna help steering just for cosmetics)
So what if i install those with the extreme drop pitman? Will it be functional? or is that a bad idea?

That should work decent. It probably won't be 100% perfect (your lift being 6" whereas the ex drop arm is 4"), but it should be 10 worlds better than where you are now with just a "regular" drop arm. The stabilizers are unlikely to do anything however, they cannot fix geometry issues.

Do your axle brackets have two sets of holes? If you can move the axle to the upper holes and still be able to realign the camber (quite possible to do if your truck is a Supercab), that should help even more.

Maybe you seen this page... The closer you can get your steering and the axle beams working in phase with each other, the better it will handle (and the longer your tires will last too).

You're not moving the brackets themselves, you're moving your axle beam pivots from the lower bolt holes to the upper bolt holes.
After you do this, your tires will be like \--o-/ and it will need to be realigned, but if your suspension's ride height is still within the 2" window explained in that article, it should be alignable.

If yours only have single holes (or your axle is already in the upper holes), then you'll have to work with what you have (unless you feel like drilling them).
