Summer project: Tax return money.....

Guys, I want to do something different. I have stickers/decals on my tailgate and I love decals. I don't like them on the widow area, I like to leave that clean. I thought about doing the tailgate in the body wrap material with the American flag blowing in the breeze and an American Bald Eagle in the foreground. A friend of mine had his f-150 Crewcab done like this and it is really beautiful. It cost him $150.00 he told me. Mine might be cheaper since the Ranger's tailgate is a bit smaller.
Now for another idea......I am thinking about doing the hood with a large black decal (or paint) to decrease the amount of glare on the hood when I got trail riding or just out on the road. I want to cover just the center of the hood not the hole thing. I thought about getting a custom decal with 'Ford' cut out at an angle to give a neat appearance. That is something I will do this summer. One more thing I would like to to as well is Rino-line the rocker panel area from behind the front fender flares to the end of the area at the bottom of my rear access doors. In other words not on the truck bed area. I would like the material to be smooth and not the gritty look of the bed liner I have seen rolled or sprayed on other trucks.

Anybody got any good ideas about using the Rino-liner in this manner. Any photos for me to look at?
Thanks

when it comes to truck bed liners I was told the way to get it not to be really chunky is to spray it on

Nope, paintbrush and use the stuff without grit.

Or you can use the spray cans. It's still rough but not as rough as rolled on or texture sprayed. But it'll take about 900 cans to build up anything of thickness.

I shot my front bumper on my F-150 and it looks wicked. It's deff rough, but it really looks good on the truck. Then I shot the tops of my bed rails, turned out fairly smooth there, but I found it was easily chipped there. But that's ok because I set my ladder rack on top of it and am doing high side boxes which will further protect that area from chipping. It was done more to clean up the chewed up paint an such than anything. Took me 4-5 cans to do just that lil bit and it's practically paper thin.

That sounde really neat what you did!!! I can get a guy at one of the Linex places to shoot the rockerpanels for me after hours so it will only cost about $70.00 He will mask every thing off as well. It is just to protect this area since I have got a few scrapes and chips from gravel roads and shrubs and brush when trail riding. I just don't want that gritty look on the rocker panel area. So the smooth look will look better I feel. Maybe it will protect it as well as the gritty look will?
