do you happen to know if it was done on the dakotas? its never done this before just started but i did look at the oil change sticker after we found it an its overdue by abit an will be changed an im hoping my thery of a clogged filter is right an it fixes it.:icon_confused:

give it a shot :D my mums yota dose the same thing from time to time but it has a bad rear main and i dont know if you ever seen the 3.0 v6 in 4 runners but holy hell is that complicated o.O

im scared to do anything to that truck i think that like seat position will make it not start lol

so i have a few questions that i have been pondering...
when iv been driving my girlfriends truck and il go to slow down and stop at a stop light or sign the oil pressure gage dips down fast to the very bottom of the gage and the oil light in the warning light cluster lights up. it only does it for a few seconds before it jumps back up to normal maybe 5 to 10 seconds.

and the other was when il be going down the road an let off the gas there will be kind of a thumping grumbling noise and feel it also does it when i get back on the pedal.

are these something i should really worry about?

Edit: the said truck is a 1993 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9 V6 4WD Clubcab

a V6 Dakota with an oil pressure issue?

Repeat after me: "Cash for Clunkers"

Now say it again slowly 20times and drive to the ford dealer
to trade it in on a Ranger.

tempting but id never take ether of the two to be destoyed like that plus we still coudnt afford a new ranger and heck if the engine does go...il swap in a 5.2 V8. and the bronco im attached too quite a bit. our next truck though will be a Ranger or an F-250 with the 7.3

its done! everything now works fine.
