If i have too much rear travel and no limiting straps, can the drive shaft fall out of the transmission?

Yes, 1 of 2 things will happen.

1. The driveshaft will pull out of the back of the transmission
2. The driveshaft will separate and pull apart from itself if it's connects with flanges on either end (4x4's).

Neither is good. Run at least a center strap if you're getting close, and obviously don't stop it when it's only got an 1/8" to go before it falls out.

Thanks for the reply, how can i make sure i put the right size limiting straps and do you think a chevy 64 leaf swap with flipped hangers and shackled will be too much in a 94 single cable 2wd
