lately i have been thinking about putting the new fx4 5 spoke wheels similar to the f150 as well, on my 90 ranger (4X4) i havent looked close to the wheels, but i think it won't work with the hubs. any help

The only newer (w/o locking hubs) wheel that's confirmed to fit 83-97 trucks, is the Alcoas from the FX4 Level II. In fact the pic, of the polished Alcoa w/ the Warn hub, in the Tech Library is actually mine(when my truck was "stock"). I had them on my 94 with no issues what so ever.

So to answer your question, most likely not.

But you could take 2 of the wheels to your local machine shop and have them turn the center hole a little bigger.
