As some of you know I'm now working in a local junkyard, that aside...
I saw a CJ come through today, had a 4.2L I6. On that 4.2 was a Clifford Research 4bb intake, an Edelbrock Performer carb, and a Clifford Research long tube header. You just don't see that kinda stuff around here.. Anyways, the motor mounts and header were torched, and the intake and carb got ruined by the poorly placed chain the pulled the engine via a skidsteer. The worst part is I told them what it was before they did it. Some guy in Venezuela pays $80 per each carb'ed engine, that's alot better than the potential $500 that setup was worth...
You don't even wanna know what good RBV parts get ruined by the day...
It's so hard to work in a yard and see all this stuff just gg to waste. They don't even know what they have, I asked the office about a Explorer disc 8.8, they looked it up in the computer, then told me they had none. I went backin the yard and proceded to find 11 of them, 12 including one that was bent from a wreck.
Just imagine how many Manual 1354s, Ranger GTs, or 4.10 D35s were lost this way...
OK done, that's my quick rant.
Get out and check your local yards.
