So i did a 3.0 to 4.0 OHV swap, same year trucks (97). I finished the swap & i went to turn key to accessories so i could listen to radio/roll windows down/etc etc to see if i had power to the truck really, well....the only thing that lit up was the red battery light on the dash, when i take the key out & turn my lights on, my lights don't come on but the battery light on the dash board does! I did the obvious check if battery was good, brand new battery cables, checked fuses, had alternator bench tested. Do you guys have any suggestions?? Should i triple check my grounds? :icon_confused:

Start at the battery and triple check everything!!!!! But my guess is if you did a swap it prolly tool some time and you just need to put the battery on the charger. CHeck all the wiring going from the battery to the starter relay to the starter solenoid to the starter and check all ground. Make sure your terminals and wires are clean and tight. Tight is a big thing that will screw you over as well as corrosion in a sliced wire.
