In several senses of the word.

I was fussing with some final details of my PWL swap and I have gotten myself stuck. The windows kinda work. The right side isn't moving right, probably a bad motor or regulator, will probably just get both, not worried about that.

The locks work perfectly with the remote, but unlock on the driver's button locks the doors, unlock and the passenger's buttons do nothing.:icon_confused: It's wired properly (barring any mistakes on my part) to an 87. Driver's button is brand new, passenger's is used and the button itself may be the issue.

Finally, it seems that while i was working on the doors my front tires were sinking into the newly, and severely, moistened ground. Being that I have no 4x4 as my front drive-shaft is in the garage with most of the hardware MIA, and only some half-gone BFG All-Terrains, which suck in mud and are quite full of it by now, I am stuck.

Any ideas on any of that?

Or a tow?

A tow is far simpler (and much safer) than any of the crazy ideas I've come up with.

Come along and a tree, push/pull it out with another car, wedge a sheet of plywood under the rear tires, wait for the ground to dry out and dig it out with a shovel.

Same here

Come along and a tree,
Not an option, all the trees are in front of it.

push/pull it out with another car,
Can't push it, I think pulling constitutes a "tow"

wedge a sheet of plywood under the rear tires,
Tried and failed

wait for the ground to dry out and dig it out with a shovel.

And lastly, not only am I not sunk in THAT far, I've already done enough damage to the yard.

grab a jack, with wood under it, get the sunk tires up out of their spot and put 2x4's or something wide under the tires man. then just drive off. once you start moving dont stop.

EDIT:

oh and take pics so we have blackmail material!

Well I PMed Screech1. He doesn't live too far from me and I know his one truck is at least partly a mudder. Problem is he only gets on 'bout once a week or so.

I'm gonna have trouble jacking up the front end that sunk in because of where I am. My nose is very much in the woods.

If it dries out a bit in the next day or so, I can tow her out with the B2.

lol, don't feel too bad though. I got my F-150 stuck in the yard not long after I bought it. I backed down into the yard some to get closer to where I needed to unload. The ground was soft and gooey and I didn't have good tires on it, but I figured I'd be ok as long as I kept the front tires up on the gravel of the turn-around.... haha... wrong....

Seems my front auto hubs were junk. I had to get mom to give me a tug in her Explorer because all I did when I tried to get out was spin the back tires and slide further down into the yard, lol.

I'd jack it up, fill in the holes, and have the BII on hand to give a tug in low range if needed. Wait too long and it's only going to get worse. The BII will pull surprisingly well even if it has not so good tires on it.

Damn, I was watching the Weather Channel yesterday and they said you guys in PA got a crap load of rain the past fews days, weeks, month. So being stuck in the mud is gotta being all the rage right now in your area....

Like I said, jacking up the front, which is what was really stuck, wasn't really an option, and you'll see why when I get pics later.

And I was a little worried about trying with the B2. Not because I doubt the drive-train's ability to pull, but for the same reason you got your 150 stuck. It's got all auto-crap in the 4x4 system and I don't know how well the system is working right now.

I'm out now though. I was able to spin the rear around and rock out and go the other way around the garage. Had about 1" to spare between the wall and the bumper. I parked it in the gravel driveway instead of the front yard. Just to be safe.
