Stuck part, glued on permatex.

Trying to remove the front bearing retainer on my transmission. I need to remove the cover to replace the input shaft seal. Some friggin brain doner glued the entire thing on with permatex. Any ideas on how to remove it?

If this is the M5OD there should be two empty holes in the retainer plate that you run two bolts from the retainer into and it pulls the plate off.

I'm not as familiar with the FM series, I think the 146 is similar, but the 145 requires bell housing removal to get the slave out. The only time I have taken a 145 out it went right to scrap without even being looked at.

It's an mf145. I got some of it where I can slide a putty knife in between. I am trying heat to but what a pia.

Well I figured this thing out. The bearing retaining cover has 4 bolts the hold it to the the front of the transmission. There is 4 studs sticking out that hold the bell housing on. There is not hex or wrench flats on the studs but they are threaded into the transmission housing. I double nutted them, unscrewed them and removed the cover. The input shaft seal is on the inside of the bearing retaining cover? Man what happend to repair manuals? They really suck. I had an alldata but it was not much better. I think I will start looking for factory manuals for all my cars.
