Stuck Bench Seat

I'm having issues with the original Bench Seat in my 87.

When I pull the lever to move the seat up, it creaks but nothing happens. The actual lever does move and it seems like it is releasing from under neath. The cable that runs to the passenger side seems to be connected and working as well.

I've tried greasing it up with Kroil but nothing is breaking it lose. I really need to replace my driverside seat belt so I was wonder if anyone knew if there is a way that I can just remove the whole thing without moving the seat up? I see that I can reach the front bolts but not the back ones....

Thanks

Reach under and pull that wire that goes to the pass side. It probably doesn't release, or the track may be crooked and stuck. If so just bump the lever on the pass side to free it up.

Good luck.

There were times I had to kind of rock back and forth to get my bench to move, I think the cable running over to the other side was somehow messed up/stretched.

Yeah I might need to try some more persuasion with this thing. I'll have to maybe get another person and try to make sure both of those hooks are letting lose.

Thanks everyone. I'll post up something if I find anything different.
