i have a 2003 ranger extended cab and i am a firemen so i am puttting strobes in the healights and grille. has anyone found a good place to put the strobe power supply??

Would it be waterproof?

I don't know the size of it and all, but if its not too big why not put it in the crossmembers of the grill itself?

the problem is that it is not water proof.

it is about 6 inches x 6 inches and 3 inches high

what i did was to get another under hood fuse panel box out of a ranger at the pic and pull and mounted it to the fire wall has the cover and i have not had any issues with mine. the one i have is kind of a tight fit but it worked..

i was looking into this for awhile. i found a spot in my dash that was easy to get to, it's a support for the radio and hvac controls. i was gonna either get hose clamps and clamp it around there, or fab a bracket that i could bolt to the support. ended up not getting the strobes, so it never materialized. check out the pic below, it's the black bar in the center

My strobe box is in a switch box that is inside my pickup. I would either put it in your cab or in a waterproof box in the engine compartment.
