Bought new wheels and lug nuts last month and was going to put new brake pads on the front of my 98 Ranger XLT the tire shop had there gun set way to high and two lug studs are stripped on one wheel and 1 on the drivers side. can't get nuts off any of them I can drill them enough to where they will brake but worred about new rims.

The tire shop should fix. But if I was to do it myself, I would measure depth of rim stud hole and drill out the stud and nut but no deeper than measured. A slight tap with a hammer handle should pop it off. Use a stop collar on the drill bit. And don't go more than two steps in drill bit size. You want the initial drill bit size to clear a hole for the flat part of the second drill bit but no more. If you don't allow the whole cutting surface to cut then there is too much pressure on the outside edge of the bit and it grabs and chips off. EG; So use a 1/8" for the first bit and 1/2" for the second. Or 3/16" for first bit and 9/16" for second. If you don't understand then ask or hire someone.
