Hey guys im not sure where this post should be, either here or the tire/wheel forum but im planning on putting some 33-12.50-15's on my 2003 FX4 level2 and i was wondering if the increased tire size is going to affect other parts such as steering components or anything else up front. Any feedback would be appreciated thanks.

BIgger tires put more strain on everything especially the steering components and axles. What size tires came on your truck? You'll probably want to re-gear the axles to keep your acceleration and help mileage. What are your stock axle gears? Pics of truck?

First, a 33x12.50 will not fit without a suspension or body lift and should be on at least an 8" wide wheel. If you do not want to lift it and buy new wheels, a 33x10.50-15 will fit if you just get the torsion bars in front turned up 1.5" or so.
BFG and I think Pro Comp make an A/T in that size.
The late-model front suspension is not as strong as the pre-98 models but anything up to a 33" will be okay. 35's will start to break stuff.

ok cool, i forgot to add it in my original question i have a 3 inch body lift waiting to be put on, and just bought some 15x8's but thanks for all the input guys.

Oh, one more thing, as one of you mentioned about gearing, should i have to re-gear? the truck came stock with the 4.10 gear ratio, will that be cool with those tires or no. thanks alot

A 4.0/automatic with 4.10's will turn 33's just fine, however if you want to keep the rpm vs. road speed the same as it was before then move up to 4.56's.
If you have manual tranny then it will get rolling easier with 4.56's because first gear in a stick Ranger ain't all that low and 5th gear will be more useful.
