while putting brakes on my 2000 4x2 coil spring ranger today I noticed my lower ball joints are trash.

I found some economy stock suspension kits on ebay which contain lower ball joints, upper ball joints with arms, inner tie rod ends and outer tie rod ends. The price of the kit is about 180 after shipping...

I'm sure these are bargain basement Chinese parts... has anyone here tried them or know of their service life?

dependability, drivability and cost are the prime factors, I want to stay stock as this is my daily driver...

any advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated...

thanks in advance,
Av

The lowers will last 40-50K miles especially if not greased. The rest probably not much longer. Should be able to get Moog or at least TRW for not too much more. The inners on those rarely wear out anyway so get good outers, uppers and lowers and new sway bar links and do it anly once and save. Also get a good alignment.

Thanks for the feedback, I figured as much... normally you get what you pay for in about anything..

I checked rockauto, but after some digging around I found the moog upper arms for 89$ each with free shipping (amazon.com of all places), saved 40 bucks over what was already a good price at rock auto..

well going "top drawer" means Ill have to spread out my purchases over a couple paychecks.. but I wont have to worry anymore about the suspension for many years to come

gotta love the internet!
